Neolithic settlement, Rebrovo

The prehistoric settlement near the village of Rebrovo is discovered in 1929 by the archaeologist Nikola Petkov. The settlement is part of a larger ethnocultural community inhabited today's Sofia plain about eight thousand years ago. The archaeological science defined this culture as "the culture of Western Bulgarian painted ceramics" because the main remnants of those old villages are pottery shards painted with white, red or black paint.

The settlement near Rebrovo never has been studied. Currently is completely destroyed by the modern cemetery, which in the 20s and 30s of 20 century was not reached till here.
